Hello and thank you for participating in our study, which serves as a manipulation check.

First of all, we will present ourselves as a start-up company, which does not reflect reality. Our intention is to get participants to behave as if they were in a real work scenario. We created four different work tasks and manipulated the instructions. In doing so, we manipulated the behavior of "opening" and "closing" leaders. The relevant definitions appear in each scenario.

We ask for your assessment of our current approach, including language issues that may cause confusion. We expect honest feedback and no comments are wrong. If you complete the check extremely quickly or do not provide qualitative feedback, we may withhold compensation for your efforts. Thank you for taking part and supporting research.
